Linen fabric catalogue
Timeless, versatile and beautifully breathable, linen is an entirely natural fabric made from the stalk of the flax plant. The long fibres from the plant’s stem are spun into yarn and then woven into linen.
Linen is known for looking luxurious yet understated. It's name comes for the Egyptians and means 'woven moonlight’.
Deceptively durable, linen is a hard wearing fabric perfect for furniture coverings, and said to be more hard wearing than cotton.
Anti-microbial & resistant to mildrew
It's made from the flax plant making it naturally anti-microbial and is resistant to mildew- great for humid climates! It is considered to be one of the cleanest fabric because it’s fibres are so tightly woven that they won’t loosen over time and gather dust and dirt.
Linen is a naturally occurring fabric, meaning that it does not need to go through the chemical process of a manufacturing plant. As it comes from the flax plant there is minimal upkeep as far as pest control, and there are not heavy use of pest-control chemicals in the manufacturing process.
